A West End legend comes to Walford later this year when star of stage and screen Bonnie Langford joins EastEnders as Carmel Kazemi (Kush’s mother)
Overly protective Carmel loves her children but also has a tendency to embarrass them. With her outspoken ways, will she be able to win over the residents of Albert Square? Or will she make some enemies?
Talking of Bonnie’s arrival, Dominic Treadwell-Collins, aid: “Bonnie brings wit and a touch of class to Carmel Kazemi – a modern Essex divorcée who isn’t quite ready to cut the strings firmly attached to her son Kush. Even if it means clashing spectacularly with Shabnam…”
Bonnie will start filming her scenes this month and will make her first appearance on screen in June.
